Hose management has been a persistent issue for gantry systems often requiring constant oversight. This team figured out how to avoid that issue with a clever yo-yo shaped pulley wheel system (just a citizen journalist here).

They looked something like the pulley wheels below, 4 of them set up on every angle of the hose so that it is completely engulfed by rolling wheels as it adds or subtracts reach for the extruder head. Check out the video below of their team operating the printer on site with only 3 guys! Craig said this week he has a print with only 2 people. I consider Print3D Tech to be the MIP of 2024 so far! (there is one team with a MASSIVE secret project underway though… you will just have to wait and see)

Humanoid robots are EXPENSIVE!!! This is crazy, to charge hourly when they are far less efficient than humans is wild. That said it’s the beginning of the industry. I respect the transparency there, Agility robotics is under no obligation to disclose these figures they are not seeking mass market customers, just working with a few early partners.

If it didn’t have to charge this thing would make over $260k a year.

Construction in the domestic manufacturing sector of America has never been so high. America is making stuff again, not just NFTs and funny money but real goods, often made by robots. Here is a Deloitte study highlighting what a dramatic change this has been over the past 2 years.

Hive 3D is doing some really awesome color layers in a parametrically designed wall. The feature wall is becoming a signature move in their high end homes!
