Happy Thursday motherfuckers, this isn’t your grandmas book club we have work to do! Yesterday I saw Cobod publish a downright irresponsible article with absurd cost and time claims which I have never seen substantiated despite years of asking them to explain how they justify these claims. In all fairness the article was probably written by AI or an intern. I have great respect for the work Cobod has done spreading 3DCP around the world but it is disappointing to see them leading people to believe 3DCP is a cost efficient solution when nothing of the sort has yet to be demonstrated.

I personally believe technology and automation will bring in an era of abundance in construction. When someone shows me a compelling solution with a believable cost analysis I will be sure to let you know. Until that day comes I’ll be following along the progress close as possible.

Humanoid robots will have a place on the job site of the future. Here is the Clone, an incredible prehensile human hand robot. It’s easy to imagine how with that range of motion it could operate a wide range of tools or even equipment on a job site.

Here is a podcast with the CEO of 14 Trees, he was the most productive Cobod Customer with over 10 homes printed in Africa with one printer but now they decided to build their own machine called Iroko.

Recently visited Print3D Layers (formerly MyRobotBuilds) near Dallas, Tx they bough a Mudbots printer and their NDA finally expired so now it can finally be shown on camera. At first they were unhappy with the system then added substantial modifications, I call this current system the Frankenstein Mudbots printer. Like all smart 3dcp companies they are still changing out parts and optimizing the process.
