Do you guy’s get any exercise? For years I was all in on work but lately I’ve been running in the morning and swimming in the afternoon and it feels great! It was a slow start, my cardio needs some improvement but the best part about starting from 0 is you get better fast!

Today I want to talk about a company that used to be called MyRobotBuilds but now re-branded to Print3DLayers. They printed 2 homes in dallas back in 2022 with an old mudbots system that they re-vamped with all kinds of upgrades.

I visited them a couple weeks ago during a garage print. The same site will receive multiple printed homes. There will be a longer video coming out about that in coming weeks but for now check out the layer quality they are getting outdoors lately. Below that I have attached the video from the first units they built. Look at that improvement! The finish on the old homes also includes lots of touch up work whereas the new video does not.

Print3D Layers deserves 3DCP M.I.P 2024 for their improvement compared to my first visit!

This speech by Rob Wolfs at the RILEM conference was released, he has been working with 3DCP in an academic setting for 10 years. This video below is filled with tons of useful information with no sales or marketing. It would be a great framework for someone to understand 3d printed concrete and it’t challenges in 30 minutes or less (I watch on 1.5x speed). I watched the whole thing before I shared it to make sure there were no absurd claims and I didn’t hear any but I could have missed something. After the introduction of Robs impressive credentials it’s jam packed with relevant research findings. Too bad it’s not on my youtube channel we probably could have done alot more views! Maybe I can get Rob on my podcast, even though I am not a huge fan of academic institutions some of the people inside them like Rob still do great work!
