New building completed in Copenhagen with real concrete (not mortar) by 3DCP group in collaboration with SAGA architects on a bod 2. Supposedly the bod 3 is coming out soon, I hear it’s a printer on rails like the old icon, black buffalo, or sq4d systems. In a podcast with me CEO of Cobod, Henrik stated the printers would be back customizable with the new parts so that old customers could upgrade. Hopefully this is the case with the new rails although to be moving around they may need some more beefy columns.

The building is a circle which happens to be the most efficient shape to maximize interior sqft thus requiring the least wall material for the most interior space. It looks to me like their objective here was to see how cost effective they could make the print. I would love to see a transparent cost analysis but for some reason I never get one. Someday!

I actually had a pretty good one shared with me recently. I agreed not to release it until the company is ready but I think they are getting there.
