After my comments yesterday regarding the Reuters article, ICON CEO Jason Ballard responded on X with a detailed thread analyzing every part of the challenges I brought up. I hope nobody misunderstands I am a big fan of icon and all the work. Jason was early to the industry and pursues it with admirable passion, I also really appreciate that he took the time to offer further transparency.

Rex from ACI says ICON will optimize for 12V like almost everything in your house uses. It also looks like the have plans for HVAC and roofing too!

Here is all the detailed info directly from Jason that was missing from the Reuters article. Jason made it clear the Reuters article did not contain lies, my concern was that without the added perspective, a newcomer may have trouble perceiving the claims.

It seems since then Reuters has changed the link to the article or perhaps removed it? Regardless, I didn’t trust the mainstream media in the first place and I still don’t.
